i need like 1 full day per month to bed-rot... it's like a mini hibernation... recharging for life. any more than that and - you're right - i start to get a lil depresso 🤣
The control angle is correct, I think. Many young folks viscerally identify that many aspects of their life does not belong to them.
Quiet quitting is a clear case: just a job, no passion, if company fails I don’t care. It is understandable.
With rotting and goblining, however, this backfires. Yes, terrible world cannot touch us for a while, we feel in control of our peace. But we close our eyes on real control that we lose — control of our growth and development. We let things happen to us by not engaging with the world.
Anxiety is real, but locking it in the closet will only make it angrier later.
Would love a lengthy rot right now ngl
